March Musings…..

Estimated Reading time 3 minutes

Today I woke up feeling really happy and positive about the future. March has been a month of massive growth for me and I will elaborate on that more during next months musings. I will keep this one light. This month we celebrated World Down Syndrome day. Down Syndrome NSW put on a few things and we went out to lollipops in Parramatta Sydney for a few hours. Ariel of course loved it, as she is quite the social little thing! Sadly we did not win the Bonds baby search but I was really happy to see some of our other little friends with Down syndrome win their category. 2 beautiful girls won the peoples choice and also anther gorgeous little girl made the shortlist. Bonds, you really are a fabulous company for embracing diversity yet again this year. We will definitely be entering again next year.

Reading: What I Know For Sure by Oprah Winfrey and Daring & Disruptive by Lisa Messenger, these two fabulous books were given to me by two separate friends. I really am blessed with such beautiful friends. Both of these books are soul food and definitely making me feel positive and proactive!

Milestones: This month Ariel started pulling herself up to a standing position. She is dying to walk and crawling is fabulous. We have also been trying to get Ariel to clap for around 6 months. Finally she is clapping. It all started with music therapy and the song if you are happy and you know it. So proud of her progress and she has exceeding all the expectations I had initially. I am raising the bar!

Eating: Biss balls – Ariel loves them. She has also started eating toast, which she loves and feeds herself very well. Oh and she also LOVES going out to lunch. So looks so cute sitting up in her high chair.

Hating: Today I feel too positive to talk about the things I hate too much. If I was to mention one thing it would be people who get drunk and act arrogant and aggressive. Slurring and swearing is never attractive when done together….

Loving: Reading. There is nothing like reading a good book and I used to read loads. Have started reading again this year and loving it! I also got new reading glasses this month because my eyes are getting old.

Hope you all had a great March. I wish you all a happy Easter this weekend. Will be sure to share some photos on our Ariels World Facebook page Be safe and enjoy xx
