Ariel – A picture Story

Estimated reading time 3 minutes.

A little while ago my wonderful friend and photographer Mister Parker  did a cake-smash photoshoot for Ariel for her 1st birthday. Yesterday the photos came through and I am in love with them. They have captured Ariels little personality quirks for me to remember forever. Last night in bed I came up with the idea of a picture story and will more than likely do this every year after her birthday. I won’t ramble on any more about it and get on with it

This is Ariel’s signature look. Ariel is very curious and she looks like this a lot. She really likes to take things in and she often has a head shake to go with it, which is her processing the information she is receiving. Ariel saves her smiles for special occasions.

Ariel loves to point at things. It is the cutest thing. If she sees a speck of anything she will zone in on it and point to it. This is a little quirk I love about her.

ari face

This is another common face of Ariel. She will hold something in her hand and hold it in close to look down at it. She looks very different to what she does when she is looking up. Another cute little quirky look that I love.

Ariel doesn’t really smile for anyone except me and her father. We both get loads of smiles but others will get the curious stare like the first photo, so this is the closest to a smile we got during the shoot. I know from these photos that this photo shoot was a lot for her to process and this was her happy face. I can see the happiness mixed in with the curiosity.

These 2 photos show a small side of Ariel that I have grown to love wholeheartedly.

This image is probably my favourite. Such a beautiful girl. Shame about the cake. Cake decorating is not my forte….

These 2 images are Brett’s favourites. I cannot recommend Brett enough if you are looking for a photographer for your baby. I would love to show all of the photos because I loved them all. Brett comes to your home, he is affordable and fabulous with kids and animals. Next time I am going to do a photos hoot with my cats as well.  He is a genuine person with great empathy.
