Taking Stock

I first saw a Taking Stock blog post over at my favourite blogger WoogsWorld who had stolen it from Meetmeatmikes. Soon after I saw another one over at another blogger I follow Teachertypes  and thought how this is an appropriate time for me to write one so here we go

TAKING STOCK

Making : New plans. My partner and I are splitting up.

Cooking : Soups

Drinking : Too much coffee

Reading: What I know for Sure. Oprah Winfrey

Wanting: To sell more Ariel candles

Looking: For a place for Ariel and I to live. Sydney you are too expensive!

Playing: with Ariel

Wasting: time stressing out about finding a new apartment

Sewing: nothing

Wishing: I didn’t stress out so much

Enjoying: running

Waiting: to “start again”

Liking: watching Ariel play with her toys. So cute

Wondering: about the future

Loving: Ariel…. So much that my heart might burst!

Hoping: I can pull this single mum thing off

Marvelling: at how much Ariel has improved my life

Needing: a mani and a pedi

Smelling: Ariel scented candle burning

Wearing: runners

Following: Minimalist baker

Noticing: that I am still too impatient

Knowing: that I have learnt from past mistakes

Thinking: about too much

Feeling: a little scared and a little excited all at once

Bookmarking: minimalist baker recipes

Opening: myself up

Giggling: with Ariel at nothing

Feeling: positive

Oh Raylene, sorry to hear about the break up 🙁 I know you’ll make it as a single mum. Stay positive because so far I’ve seen what a beautiful person you are inside & out. xx

Thank you so much Norlin. I plan on being the best mum I can be, single or not 🙂

Good on you Raylene for giving ‘taking stock’ a go. I hope it helped you write your thoughts down. You sound so positive, and you obviously have so much love for your beautiful daughter, I’m confident you’ll be able to make it work as a single mum. Maybe try looking back at this ‘taking stock’ in six months time and see how you are travelling then? You could always do another to reflect on how far you’ve come in that time. Take care all all the best xox

Thank you so much Lauren, it definitely helped. I will do one every six months from now, it will be a good way to check in with progress 🙂
