03 Nov October Musings – Step Up for Down Syndrome
Estimated reading time 2 and a half minutes
It was Down syndrome awareness month and we attended the Step Up for Down syndrome walk. It was great to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones. We are really settling into our new life and things are going well. I am slowly adjusting to things and getting stronger.
Reading: Music. I bought a piano. I payed as a child and I took it up again when I was pregnant. I am a bit rusty but am loving it. Ariel also loves it and sits at my feet when I play. She is also having a go herself. I think it will be great for us both.
Eating: Too much toast! Its now time to bring on the Summer Salads, my favorite type of meal. Would love to look into doing a raw chef course. I am finding it hard to get Ariel eating raw veg and salad though. She also still needs a lot of her vegetables pureed as well. I am going to start making some of the raw recipes at rawtarian.com so hopefully she will like them.
Hating: Narcism. I will not tolerate negative people who drain my energy. I have a lot to deal with in my own life and I am trying to do my very best to make a good life for myself and my daughter. People who whine about crap that they bring on them selves will be dropped like a hot potato.
Loving: The fact that I pretty much have got my shit together at the moment feeling pretty good about it! Ariel is also getting stronger and wanting to stand up all the time. The look on her face when she gets up brings me so much joy. How cute is she?
